Fall Fun Fest

Celebrate Fall Fun Fest 2010 with PCL !! Saturday Sep.11,2010.  Visit our “Martha Speaks” booth at Stations of Imagination!! Pick up a bookmark, “doggy bag” to decorate and directions for recycling craft activities to do at home.  FREE. 9-5 Saturday September 11, 2010 on the Cookeville Courthouse Square.

Imagination Library Week

Get onboard to Celebrate Imagination Library Week 2010,.  Cookeville Storytime T W Th 14-16 Sep 10-10:30am. The Imagination Library program, with its smiling red train engine logo, was founded by Dolly Parton, to put books into the hands of all Tennessee children ages 0-5.  Join PCL Storyteller Marcia Donovan for The Little Engine That Could and other stories of cooperation.  Songs will be Kevin Kidd’s “Imagination Station”, “I’ve been Workin on the Railroad” and “Get on Board” “Wheels on the Train”.  Other activities by Library Friends TBA.

Who's in Rabbit's House

Nov.5, 2010 10-10:30  Preschool Performance to Kick Off the 2010 Art Prowl with a Pacesetters Painting the Tale 10th anniversary performance of “Who’s in Rabbit’s House”  Pacesetters developmentally disabled individuals from Putnam and White County Centers will present this West African folktale in the PCL Lower Meeting Room for one performance only on Friday Nov. 5 to kick off the annual Art Prowl.  Performance masks and story adaptation by Pacesetters individuals with Visual Artist Merritt Ireland and Storyteller Marcia Donovan.  Annual Art Prowl showcases area artists, including Pacesetters, Friday Nov. 5  12-8pm and Saturday Nov. 6 10-6pm on Cookeville’s West Side and on the Square.
