Children's Favorites

At the conclusion of the summer reading program, Wanda Maxwell, Children’s Library Director, asked parents to name their children’s favorite books. She reported a wide variety of selections, and here are two of their responses.

• Junie B. Jones stories because they are funny and because their teacher read them aloud in class.
• Over in the Ocean in a Coral Reef because children could sing it and pretend they were the children.
