Penny Gentry

Penny Gentry is a long time Library employee, who has done several programs for us, including the Algood Summer Reading Program last year.  She and Fuschia have worked in Children’s Ministry work for many years, and loves working with children.  The stories and laughs presented by this dynamic duo will be on June 21st and 22nd at 10am and 1pm daily.


Bob Tarter

June 8 Wednesday

Bob Tarter works with the Natural History Educational Company of the Midsouth.   On June 28th and 29th,at 10am and 1pm each day, he will be bringing his “Weird and Unusual Animals” right here to the Putnam County Library!  Mr. Tarter, along with the NHECM provide entertaining and educational programing throughout the South.  Their animals change every year, so their program is always new!  This year’s program will bring a hedgehog, lizards, and maybe, just maybe, even a kangaroo! 
This show is for school age children, and will be presented in a lecture format.

Mr. Bond Science around the world

Mr. Bond formerly the Mad Science Nashville (a.k.a. Keith Trehy) is a chemist with over twenty years’ experience teaching in countries as far afield as Japan, China, France and Poland. Mr. Bond is known to kids all over Middle Tennessee for his brilliant Dry Ice Shows, Electricity Demonstrations and Hands-on Workshops.   Mr. Bond will be bringing a wonderful adventure with “Science around the world”.

 


Kevin Kidd

June 22 Wednesday

Our most requested “Enrichertainer” is back!  Kevin Kidd, with his silly, infectious, and educational songs and stories, along with his sidekick, Imaginary Larry, will be making their way to the Putnam County Library on July 5th and 6th at 10am and 1pm, both days.  Kevin is of the philosophy of making learning fun, and he does just that, combining clever dialogue and original songs for the perfect mix of fun and learning!

Snowbird

Snowbird of WSMV news channel 4 will be here reading books to the children, snowbird will also be available for pictures, so parents bring your camara.
