Over 715 community members gr. 4 and up, including 659 public, private and homeschool students, 35 individuals with disabilities, 42 individuals of color and 22 senior guides and artists, came to PCL and Dogwood Park to experience and present Middle Tennessee frontier life at craft and activity stations. Frontier storytelling, quilting, weaving, spinning, Cherokee life, basketry, long hunter culture, natural dyeing, butter churning, livestock, blacksmithing, antiques, country dance, games and music were presented by 32 professional artists. The Library thanks Rep. Curtiss for his support of Arts funding in Tennessee, which makes Spin a Tale possible.
